The Facts - We aim to create sustainable
communities that embody the principles of sustainable development at a
local level. This will involve working to give communities more power
and say in the decisions that affect them; and working at the right level
to get things done. Community involvement in shaping their local area
helps to make the community more sustainable.
Actions you could take:
- Engage in local planning consultations
- Produce
a parish/neighbourhood plan
- Work with your local council to prepare or update a Sustainable Community
Strategy for your area
- Support your Local Agenda 21 group or other local groups working on
sustainable development
- Find out about your Local Strategic Partnership
