Sustainable Development Task Force

The Task Force has been established to help ensure effective follow-up of the UK's WSSD commitments, and to help ensure that the review of the 1999 strategy for sustainable development for the UK, 'A better quality of life', is focused on the delivery of sustainable development. Chaired by Defra Secretary of State, Margaret Beckett, the Task Force brings together Ministers across Whitehall with colleagues from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and some key stakeholders.
