29. Emissions of air pollutants

NH₃, NO_x, PM₁₀ and SO₂ emissions and GDP, 1990 to 2006

NH₃, NO_X, PM₁₀, SO₂ since:

Between 1990 and 2006 emissions of air pollutants were reduced: ammonia (NH3) by 18 per cent, nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 46 per cent, particulates (PM10) by 50 per cent and sulphur dioxide (SO2) by 82 per cent.
The reduction in these pollutants occurred at the same time as the economy (Gross Domestic Product) grew by 48 per cent.
