  • The South East has more dwellings and households than any other region, although London has the most one person households.
  • The North East has fewer dwellings, households and one person households than any other region.
  • The greatest percentage increase in one person households between 1991 and 2003 was in the East of England (35 per cent)
  • The South West had the largest regional percentage increase in total households and dwelling stock, whereas the largest absolute increases in total households and dwelling stock were in the South East.
