  • 53 per cent of local environmental quality classifications in England were unsatisfactory or poor in 2006-7, whilst 28 per cent thought were good.
  • The South East had the highest proportion of good or satisfactory classifications with 55 per cent.
  • The North West had the lowest proportion of good classifications with 23 per cent, and the highest proportion of unsatisfactory or poor classifications with 58 per cent.
