• The average life satisfaction rating in the North East in 2007, using a scale from 0 – 10 (with 0 meaning very dissatisfied and 10 very satisfied), was 7.3, close to the national average.
• A greater proportion than nationally rated their satisfaction with life as 10, and fewer gave a rating between 0 and 4.
