H Headline Indicators

Please note that the headline indicators as they are presented here are as they appeared in the update of Quality of life counts.

For the latest version of the headline indicators click here.

The fifteen headline indicators aim to show what progress is being made across the three pillars of sustainable development: economic (three indicators), social (five indicators), and environment (seven indicators), and are intended to be considered together as a package. The complexity of the issues mean that although there are fifteen indicators, four of them have split assessments to reflect separate trends and so there are nineteen assessments.
